Careers
Atlantic Law Llp appreciates that its staff is the primary reason for its success and we seek to recruit and retain high quality people. We look for candidates who have achieved a high standard of education, show a willingness to take on a high level of responsibility, will thrive under pressure, have the ambition and motivation to succeed and are seeking fulfilment in a demanding profession.
Most importantly, you will need to be committed to a career in a niche corporate law firm offering opportunities to work at the cutting edge of the profession. Atlantic Law Llp engages in a number of large transactions for our clients and our lawyers often find themselves sitting opposite someone from one of the larger law firms. We thrive in this type of environment and are mindful that everything we do reflects on our clients.
Atlantic Law Llp recruit only the very best candidates. We want you to fulfil your potential and will provide the training and guidance to allow you to identify and achieve your career ambitions. We are a team of confident, extremely motivated, like-minded individuals who are not afraid to voice our ideas. You will be encouraged to take an active role in helping to develop the firm and its business.
The atmosphere is relaxed but professional, with the best interests of our clients and their business needs at the heart of everything we do. Atlantic Law Llp is committed to establishing long term relationships with its staff and clients.
Lawyers
Atlantic Law Llp's strength lies in its ability to get deals done within the timeframe set by our clients. This means we only recruit lawyers with the drive and tenacity to ensure that our reputation goes from strength to strength. Atlantic Law Llp's lawyers work with the fundamental practice ethic in mind which makes the firm the success that it is today - to be there for our clients. If this means rolling up our sleeves and providing round the clock advice this is what we do.
We are happy to hear from corporate and commercial lawyers of all experience levels from newly-qualified status to those more senior. So the question is: what makes an Atlantic Law lawyer?
What we look for
There is no set template. We do not seek to cast you in a mould that just isn't you. What we look for are individuals, who are just that - individual. This does not mean that you will not be a team player, quite the opposite. You will be able to work unassisted and also as part of a team. But we want you because of who you are and what we expect you to bring to the table. Clients come in various forms and a firm of our size prides itself on providing a lawyer as a contact point who we believe the client will enjoy working with.
On the transactions we work on we expect you to run the show and whilst you will be equipped with all the attributes a leading role would expect to have you will not be a prima donna. You will be able to provide succinct and concise advice when necessary and be able to deal effectively with any unexpected eventualities, which means thinking on your feet.
We expect academic excellence, confidence, awareness and a healthy appetite to achieve the best result for our clients. You will have a proven track record in your area of specialisation, be commercially minded and sensitive to our clients business concerns. Equally important is your imagination to devise innovative solutions for our clients together with your energy to deliver those solutions.
What can you expect in return?
Our lawyers are involved in every level of each transaction they work on which means that they are have a thorough grounding in their specialisation and a level of responsibility which they have not achieved elsewhere. The senior lawyers in the team provide constant support and guidance to the junior lawyers as and when needed and the firm maintains an "open door" policy. We can assure you that no matter what you have achieved in your career to date, we will ensure you achieve more.
We are based in the heart of the West End and all the main attractions are close at hand including the capital's best bars, restaurants and theatres. We are just down the road from Bond Street tube station and literally across the road from Marble Arch tube station. There a number of buses that service the area too which makes our location ideal for staff that have finished work and need to unwind.

Training contracts
We recruit talented trainees to join us although we do not offer a guaranteed number of places each year. Our current Law Society mandate which reflects the size of our firm allows us to offer two training contracts. We offer successful applicants the opportunity to combine a first-class education programme with wide-ranging hands on experience. From our point of view, we consider these appointments to be an investment in our future and we recruit in the hope that a training contract is the start of a long and rewarding career for you with us.
When to apply to us
We accept applications throughout the year and will recruit trainees for either a March or September intake.
